seams like a stitch up to me
a terrible guest
went to an odd little affair the other night. cool straights, loud homos, low key gym rat intellectuals and OTT 'saturday girls'. all mixed together, quite the heady blend.
turns out the beautiful people scarpered pretty early and left all the kooks and interesting peeps to finish off the majority of the sauce and the barbequed brisket.
i snook a look at friend P's pooter and found some cool music that the bastard hasn't thought to share with me, so i took it upon myself to take what was unrightfully mine and also scan his machine to see what he's been browsing lately.
why do people not clear their cache or browsing history? am i just paranoid? i'm not at the mel-gibson-in-conspiracy stage, i mean, i don't have my place tripped out with magnesium fuses and i don't balance cups of water on door-handles (although i thought that was awfully clever), but i do clear tracks. it's as natural as flushing the toilet after yourself. plus he browses some very lame tame porn sites. bless.
so i drove home, almost getting into a police chase (long story, not worth it) and crashed into oblivion.
palps
friend M in PHX is hurting my chest tonight, he is in an odd place in these last few weeks and i keep feeling like i should just tell him to come home now, but i know he has to finish some things there and deal with a really odd situation.
whip it up hot
i saw this blender on hgtv (a not so secret vice) tonight. the blades spin so fast on the high setting that you can put cold water and ingredients in and it actually heats it up and makes soup from cold water! plus being sunk and fitted into the kitchen counter top makes it just plain sexy. i want one.
node
so yeah, i'm a terrible guest. i always feel weird and like i want to bolt for the door. trouble is, i know a lot of people but they don't know each other. i have a hard time understanding this. simply put, not many of my friends know each other, i am like this node, i talk to them about their 'counterparts' and share experiences but usually i am in a one-on-one situation with any given friend at any given time. i like to think it's because i like to make someone feel important, and to a larger extent i think that that is true, but when i think about the whole situation it's just odd. my three 'best friends' have never met and yet i've known them all for years, they know each other's names and things about each other. it's one of the reasons i go away on my birthday and holidays, i would feel so awkward being in a room with them all! I think they all would too.
i could ask a lot of psychological questions of myself at this point. i'll refrain, i got the psych degree to mess with other people's heads, not my own.
3x3 for the week
finish a book - finish decorating the bedroom - complete new résumé
go see friend S on thursday - landscape plan - ignore voices in head telling me to sleep more
start on the mound of paperwork - get back into excercising - start research paper
1.37am, ugh. i would go to bed but i can't stop listening to music and reading some nights. time, fucking time. never enough for what you really want to do... here comes a monday.
