Hat counts as half life
here it comes again
i am still not sure if i like autumn or not. the crispness of early morning air, falling temperatures, shorter days. it's all a bit sad really. maybe if there was someone to walk in the park with and piss around in the leaves and have some fun. ok, nuff sappy crap. back to the topic.
so, it's here. it really hasn't started yet but if you know where to look, you can find it.
up in the mountains about 15 mins from where i live... if you look real careful through the draw in the hill you can see it starting. color!
words i dislike writing
awkward - that whole wkw thing.. bleugh.
egypt - too many dangly down things, i'm always afraid when i hand write the word that they'll get knotted together.
pink - i really avoid this word because every time i write it i hear the noise of 'pink, pink pink... pink pink pink" like small ballbearings bouncing down concrete fire exit stairwells. and i don't like that noise.
through - i always hear the word 'trough' in my head and the little voices in there laugh at me having to write it and struggle not to silently refer to a pig's feeding device.
tire - being of european consideration i still want to write 'tyre'. i could add a whole list of other words here like behaviour, centre and catepillar. (sly eddie izzard reference)
i won't bore you with any more. but yes, there are more. many more.
in other news
i think i am about to walk from my current job, i am sick of the bullshit.
time was when i would immerse myself in it, not for dramatics, but to sort the crap out, be peacemaker, solution provider, smoother. a real workplace fluffer. no, not like that.
but now i can hardly stand to put up with people's shit and i can't even be bothered to call them on it, i just walk away. some say this makes me a loser, not a few friends have been shocked that the 'gladiator' has dropped his shield and sword and won't even speak in some circumstances.
but i am tired of fighting, i'm tired of friction, i am tired of people in general and their pretend lives that beg to believed in if only to reinforce their own need to perpetuate the pretense.
false meanings, hungry feedings on teenage angst, emotions cooked with unstable recipes.
please.. grow up, move on.
of course, they don't. so it's become my quiet habit to say nothing (so why is tak even blogging about it?) and walk away. i'd rather leave them wondering than ever confirm that they had any effect.
the line, robbie williams, 'no regrets', comes to mind... "i didn't lose my mind, it was mine to give away." so yeah, i think i am walking...
c'mon boots..
Amuse yourself
I was able to grab the videos/music to the last four tracks i listened to. The first one ensures my member card gets renewed, the second gives me my very own 'jones in my bones' for reasons you will no doubt work out, the third is my personal indulgence, a bit like a mental toilet flush and the fourth is seeing me off to bed with a g&t.

gnight.

9/06/2006 2:22 AMI could never figure out why Dusty was always put in cubes or surrounded by clocks on pedestals. And where in the hell are her dwarves?

interestingly the previous song mentions snow white too! yeah, that whole 'gretel' outfit and the cheap spatial reference sets seem to have been a trademark of several acts.
i just wanna know what she was doin sat on an upturned washing machine painted black? ok, i know, it was a studio light! but hey, it's still just as surreal. had it just fallen? what about all the broken glass? and just why is petula clark popping in at the end to tell you she thinks?
so many questions, not enough margueritas!

Oh, I SO hear you on "awkwkard" and "egypt". After I wake up more, I'll probably think of more words that I hate writing or saying.
See, they're coming to me even now. I hate writing or typing the word rhyme. WTF is up with it being spelled that way? I consider myself a champion speller, and hate any word that makes me question myself, as that one ALWAYS does. I avoid this word at all costs.
I also hate a capital letter "Q" in cursive. It is preposterous.

good list of hated words ... however, there was a time that whenever I was doodling I always wrote the word "forever" ... i liked how it looked in cursive ...
I always found that odd ...
