book pirate

so i was in a bookstore earlier today.

and there was this guy with an eyepatch on. a real one. i could see the surgical dressing peeking out in one corner, but there he was stood at the 'pirates of the carribbean' table and the lifesize johnny-depp-in-costume cut-out reading 'pirateology' and the bugger had an eyepatch on! is the funniness of the situation lost on everyone around me? apprently.

everyone in the store walked past not noticing. i just stood and laughed. had to be dragged out in the end by the friend i was waiting for. and damn but if i had a camera phone (gah, i eat my words: 'camera phone? what would i want or need one of those for?') then you may be seeing what i saw.

harr harr mee heartys! is that be one of mee fellow pirates o'er thar, a'reading pirate books i say, what a swashbuckler!

plus an opportunity to post a pic of the ambiguously masculine Monsieur Depp. Hmmm...
